Did You Know

Fume Blanc is usually a barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc.  The barrel ferementation adds depth and richness to the wine, giving it an aroma of toasted oak and vanilla.  Our Fume Blanc is our signature white wine and won "Best of Fest" at the 2003 Colorado Rocky Mountain wine festival.

Garfield Estates is focused on producing the finest wines from premium Colorado grapes. We insist on low yields in the vineyard and attention to detail in our cellars. Our distinctive label is a symbol of our commitment to quality.

Currently, Garfield Estates makes seven wines — Vin Rosé, Fumé Blanc, Viognier, S2 - a blend of Semillon and Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Vin de Glace.

2007 Fumé Blanc

Aged Sur Lie in French oak, this is exceptionally rich wine with characteristic smoky notes and hints of vanilla and nutmeg. Excellent acidity & balance with notes of grapefruit and pineapple on the nose. 358  cases produced.

$13.99 per bottle

2008 S2 - Semillon/Viognier

A blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, this wine is crisp, lively and bursting with citrus. Fermented in stainless steel with no oak aging, it hints at grapefruit, lemon and kiwi and pairs with appetizers and lighter fare. 202 cases produced.

$11.99 per bottle

2008 Viognier

Just our second year producing a 100% Viognier, this wine is really starting to show its potential in the Grand Valley. Much like other Rhone varietals, such as Syrah, V0 thrives in our climate and produces wines with outstanding fruit, acidity and balance. The unique low acid nature of Viognier makes a wine with excellent mouthfeel. This wine is bursting with tropical fruit flavors of mango, pear and passion fruit on the nose. Many people in the wine industry consider Viognier the “next white” to storm the market, much like Pinot Grigio did a few years back. Fermented in 100% stainless steel the wine is crisp on the palate and is a perfect complement to rich seafood pasta or a hearty winter soup like Butternut squash.

$21.99 per bottle   SOLD OUT!

2008 Vin Rosé

In the tradition of the great European Rose's, this wine is a full bodied "dry" style of Rose reminiscent of Spanish Rosato. It offers an excellent alternative to Red wines on those hot summer days and pairs very well with a variety of foods including BBQ and grilled Salmon. Made from 100% Syrah this wine is spicy and refreshing at the same time. 140 cases produced.

$11.99 per bottle

2006 Syrah

A robust red with the classic "earthy" tones of a great Rhone style wine, the 2006 Syrah hints at the greatness this grape can achieve in our vineyard. We continue to believe that Syrah may be the grape that defines the Grand Valley. Rich tones of black cherry and lavender on the palate followed by a long complex finish and silky smooth tannins make this a very approachable wine. Pair with hearty "country cooking" or a great steak; either choice will be a hit. 435 cases produced.

$16.99 per bottle

2007 Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc has consistently been one of our most award winning wines at Garfield Estates. This Gold Medal winning Cabernet Franc offers a medium bodied red with very soft tannins and bursting with bright fruit. Mouthfeel is excellent and the finish is long and lingering showing the complexity this grape can achieve. Cabernet Franc offers an excellent alternative to the somewhat bigger Cabernet Sauvignon and is very "food friendly" wine.  356 Cases produced.

$16.99 per bottle

2008 Vin de Glace

This wine is produced in the icewine style.  Made from 100% Muscat Ottonel, a highly aromatic variety, it has an intense floral nose.  Although very sweet, the wine exhibits excellent acidity to balance the sugar levels.  Fans of this unique style of wine will find it to be quite a treat! 295 Cases produced.

$24.99 per bottle
